Underground Sprinkler Warranty

THE NEBRASKA SOD COMPANY ONE YEAR SOD GUARANTEE

We stand behind our product. If, in any way, you’re dissatisfied with the quality of your new sod, simply call us within one full year of delivery and we’ll supply you with as much fresh replacement sod as needed to repair your lawn absolutely free!

TO QUALIFY FOR REPLACEMENT SOD, CUSTOMERS MUST DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Proper ground preparation, installation, watering, fertilization, and care were applied to the sod since installation (refer to the "How do I prepare my lawn for sod" and "How do I water my new sod" sections of this website).
  • Sod was installed within its “window of viability” upon delivery (typically within 2-3 hours, depending on weather conditions).
  • An underground irrigation system was operating within 30 minutes of the sod’s installation and that coverage was/is complete and uniform.
  • Sod was not planted in an area with more than 50% shade.
  • Sod was not burned by a chemical, pesticide, fertilizer or reflected sunlight from a home foundation or concrete.
  • Pets were not responsible for damaged sod.
  • Sod was paid for on time.
HOW TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT
Read the Nebraska Sod maintenance tips for your sod variety and follow the recommendations. Your Nebraska Sod lawn was grown under the careful guidance of the industry’s top professionals using modern horticultural practices. Remember… your sod is a living, breathing lawn and should provide years of enjoyment, provided you take care of it. Proper irrigation coverage and application rates are of utmost importance in the maintenance of a healthy lawn. Nearly all brown spots in newly sodded lawns are directly traceable to an under-watering or out-of-adjustment sprinkler.

In the event a brown area appears in your newly sodded lawn, call your landscape contractor or sod supplier as soon as possible for recommendations. If they are unable to solve the problem, then call our office. We may, at our discretion, send a representative to investigate the problem in person. We may ask you to increase your watering days or amounts, apply a fungicide, or implement some other corrective measure to alleviate your problem. You must follow our recommendations first before you qualify for replacement sod. If, after these steps have been taken, the problem persists, you will be told where and when to pick up your replacement sod at no charge.

THE NEBRASKA SOD COMPANY SPRINKLER SYSTEM WARRANTY

Nebraska Sod will warranty all underground sprinkler system parts and labor for one full year. Additionally, Rain Bird will warranty all sprinkler heads & valves for 5 years from installation. Electrical components, including controller clocks, will be warranted for a period of 2 years.
